2018 Character In Life Scholarship Recipients
In 2018, scholarships were awarded to 2 students that intend to pursue a career in Education, had a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, provided a letter of recommendation, and wrote a personal essay about how their life has demonstrated one or more of the following core values: Sacrifice, Integrity, Commitment, Courage, Patriotism, and/or Citizenship.
1. 2018 Puyallup HS
Our first Puyallup HS Character In Life Scholarship was awarded to Melissa Borrayo Garcia on May 30th, 2018. Melissa will be attending Washington State University in the fall. She intends to pursue a career in education and teach Spanish at the secondary level.
Melissa has been enrolled in the Teaching Academy program at Puyallup HS.

2. 2018 Emerald Ridge HS
Our very first Character In Life Scholarship was awarded to Jordan Adams on May 24, 2018. Jordan will be attending Central Washington University in the fall. She hopes to become a teacher in a junior high or a high school. Her desired content area is math but she is also interested in psychology or law.
Jordan has been enrolled in the Teaching Academy program at Emerald Ridge which has provided her with experience in elementary and secondary classrooms.
